With the planned introduction of new tougher tests for English and Maths scheduled for 2016, a key part in success for primary age children will be access to good school library facilities.

New National Curriculum 2014

This states that pupils should develop the habit of reading widely and often, for pleasure and information. Schools should do everything they can to promote wider reading and provide library facilities.
